Meet Gena
Founder + Principal Designer
Gena Mansfield has always been drawn to the way a space can transform how people feel. Some of her earliest memories are of rearranging rooms, studying colors, and noticing how a space could change the way it felt to be inside it. Long before she understood floor plans or elevations, she understood atmosphere - home as the backdrop for life’s moments. Today, as the founder of Without Borders Design Boutique, she carries that awareness into every project, creating interiors that feel calm, welcoming, and deeply personal.
With a background in interior design and architecture, Gena brings both creative vision and technical understanding to every project she takes on. What began as a fascination with reimagining spaces has grown into a career centered around helping clients create homes and environments that truly reflect who they are. She develops layered, cohesive interiors that balance beauty with functionality, guiding each decision with clarity - from curated mood boards and finish selections to contractor-ready drawings and 3D renderings - protecting both the vision and the investment.
Gena is known for her approachable nature, eye for detail, and steady guidance throughout the design process. She collaborates closely with contractors and trades, advocating for her clients every step of the way, so every choice supports how they will live, work, and gather in the space. Outside of design, she’s a proud wife, mother, and grandmother, bringing that same care, warmth, and connection into every project. Her goal is simple: a space that feels effortless, refined, and unmistakably yours - where clients walk in and say, “This feels like us.”
